NotesShareMy grandpa has Alzheimer’s so he has no idea who my grandma is but everyday for the last three or four months he brings her in flowers from their garden and asks her to run away with him and be his wife and everyday she says she already is and everyday the smile my grandpa gets on his face is the most beautiful heartfelt thing I have ever seen.

NotesShareHarry Holland’s Fantastical Paintings of Nudes
Painter Harry Holland uses his penchant for realism to create whimsical paintings where classical nudes are seen in action rather than in states of repose, where we usually expect to find them. His characters run in packs, seemingly endowed with mystical powers like the Grecian muses or witches from European literature. Rather than coming across as delicate bodies intended for eye candy, these figures appear to have broken free from the frames of traditional nude portraits hung in museums and galleries and reclaimed their agency. Take a look at some of Holland’s work below.
